This policy explains what happens to the information you share with papaya.codes and the limited technical data created when you visit the site.

1. Who is responsible

papaya.codes is the controller of personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email hello@papaya.codes.

2. Information we receive

When you prepare a project enquiry, you may provide your name, company, project description, email address and an optional phone number. Please do not include sensitive personal data in a brief unless it is genuinely necessary.

3. Why and how we use it

We use enquiry details to answer you, understand and scope the requested work, prepare a proposal and keep a record of the conversation. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in running client communications (Article 6(1)(f)). If we work together, legal obligations may also require us to retain certain records.

4. How the project form works

The form does not send your details to a papaya.codes database. It opens your own email application with a prepared message. Your information is transmitted only when you choose to send that email, and it is then handled by your email provider and ours.

5. Storage and retention

Enquiries are kept in our email records only as long as needed to respond and manage the possible project, ordinarily no longer than three years after the last contact. Records connected with an active client relationship may be kept longer where a contract, accounting rule or other legal obligation requires it.

6. Service providers and transfers

Website-hosting and email providers may process limited data for us. They receive only what is necessary to provide those services. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

7. Browser storage and technical logs

The site stores only your CZ/EN language preference in your browser's local storage. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The hosting infrastructure may create standard security and access logs, such as IP address, request time, browser information and requested page, for reliable and secure operation.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Contact us at the address above. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Complaints and updates

You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or your local supervisory authority. See uoou.gov.cz. We may update this policy when the site or our data practices change, and the date above will show the latest revision.
